The Community and Health Center exists to provide healthcare and social services to the underserved members of the community of Kanye, Botswana — serving all ages including children, youth, and the elderly — by providing a safe and secure environment that promotes education and a holistic, high-quality life with dignity, respect, and compassionate care.
Founded in 2015 by Matlhatso Kesupile-Reed — a nurse and behavioral health specialist with 30+ years of experience — CHC has grown from a single preschool program to a multi-service community hub serving hundreds of lives each year.

With over 30 years of experience as a nurse and behavioral health psychotherapist — including work at the CDC Gaborone office under the American Embassy and contributions to the BOTUSA TB/HIV/AIDS Research Project — Matlhatso Kesupile-Reed returned to her home community in Kanye, Botswana to establish CHC.
Her vision: a safe, dignified space where every person can access the care and support they need to thrive.
